As a leading technology company, Lexmark supports innovative programs, projects and organizations that inspire students' interest and promote their achievement in the arts, math and sciences. Priority is given to organizations and/or programs that include applications for Lexmark products in delivering project services and/or enhance or expand existing Lexmark-sponsored initiatives. Lexmark directly solicits proposals for funding in this area.
The Lexmark PrintArt initiative brings instructive art to schoolchildren at all grade levels. The project combines award-winning Lexmark colour inkjet printers and a series of Lexmark PrintArt CD-ROMs featuring high-resolution artistic masterpieces from leading museums. Each CD includes approximately 100 works of art, including narrative discussions of the individual works and descriptions of the artists. These CDs make it possible for students to print their own collections of fine art masterpieces for classroom study and personal use.
